EASTER PAGEANT

For over 25 years, First Baptist Church of Jackson has been performing the Easter pageant.  The pageant is a fast-moving production which presents the life of Jesus Christ through music and drama.  With a cast of over 125 members in full costume, we invite you to come join us each year and share in the true meaning of Easter.  It will be an amazing experience for you, your family, and friends.

The 2011 presentation, entitled "Awakening: Growing in Grace and Knowledge," was one that we hope helped you grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  In the 2011 pageant, two modern-day students journeyed through Scripture to show how Old Testament prophecy was fulfilled, and what is yet to come.  Glimpses of Jesus' life as an infant, a child, and then as an adult were portrayed.  A close look at prophecies from Isaiah, Micah, and Zechariah were presented to help strengthen viewers' faith. 

The pageant showed Jesus performing miracles, teaching the multitudes, and other recreations of Biblical events.  As always, there were live animals.  The presentations, of course, included the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, while stressing the fact that Jesus is alive and coming again!  The question is, will you  be ready when He does?

We hope you did not miss this very special Easter event!  The pageant is presented in a different way each year.  For many, it is an annual tradition. Why not make it one of yours?

Each year, tickets are FREE; however, seating is limited.  You may pick up tickets to guarantee seating.  The ticket sponsors for 2011 included the the First Baptist Church Office, Country Mart, and the Baptist Association Office in Jackson, and at Gospeland Bookstore, Lifeway, and Schnucks in Cape. We appreciate the participation of all of these sponsors in helping us make tickets available.
